Below the deep lustrous black finish is a top of solid, seasoned spruce married to solid sapeli mahogany back and sides – a combination providing superb articulation with warmth and sweetness.
The rosette features fabulously intricate storm design inlay work using Imbuia and Persimmon, while abalone raindrops and a lightning bolt are inlaid onto the polished ebony fingerboard. The dramatic black theme is carried all the way through to the black and basswood body binding and ultimately on to the precision tuning machine.
